Recycling
Recycling has become one of the most significant parts of our business, with
typically over 80% of waste materials received on site being recycled. A minimum
quantity is ultimately landfilled, thereby protecting the environment and
promoting sustainability.

Our Environment Agency licence allows us to accept the categories of waste
listed below and these are recycled in the manner described:
- Construction, Demolition and Excavation Wastes
- typically from
building sites and jobbing builders. The soil and stone are screened to
separate them, with the stone subsequently being crushed and sold for
building projects, and the soil being used for landscaping and other similar
applications.
- Non-Hazardous Commercial and Industrial Waste
- typically from
shops, businesses and factories. This is sorted into its constituent parts,
using a combination of manual and mechanical techniques, with the resultant
waste-streams being taken to various locations for further processing. Wood,
cardboard, ferrous and non-ferrous metals undergo further specialist
recycling treatment.
- Green Waste
- this is segregated and can be recycled through
composting to produce a soil conditioner.
