15 loads of Wax

Image 1

We received an unusual call from a customer seeking to sell his site for re-development and looking to dispose of around 200 tonnes of wax within a building on it. This was refined wax which had been brought in from a local engineering company as a by-product from their production process.

15 loads in 20yd and 40yd containers were taken over a period of about a fortnight, with two change-overs per day scheduled in at 7am and mid-day following discussion and agreement with the customer.

He subsequently expressed particular appreciation for the promptness of service, flexible scheduling offered and the fact that he was not let down on any scheduled change-over.

While we looked hard at the possibility of recycling this unusual waste, we could not find anyone locally who was prepared to use it and it was therefore ultimately disposed of at a suitable site.
